The Algabraic [[Multiplicity]] of an [[Eigenvalue]] $\lambda$ of a [[Matrix]] is the number of times $\lambda$ appears in the [[Characteristic Polynomial]]. This is just a specialisation of multiplicity of a polynomial *in the context of eigenvalues*.
