A method of [[Quadrature]] derived from [[Simpsons Method]] using a cubic [[Polynomial|polynomial]]. $\begin{align} A = h\pa{ \frac{3}{8}f(a) + \frac{9}{8}f(a+h) + \frac{9}{8}f(a+2h) + \frac{6}{8}f(a+3h) + \cdots } \end{align}$ This is referred to as the $\frac{3}{8}$ method due to the ability to factor out $\frac{3}{8}$. $ \begin{align} A = \frac{3}{8}h\pa{ f(a) + 3f(a+h) + 3f(a+2h)+2f(a+3h) + \dots } \end{align}$
